A lot of solutions have come out for all these new BMWs comprised of a few LEDs in form of bulb replacements trying to illuminate the acrylic rings. The stock technology is limited by the physics of trying to carry light through a plastic ring, by reflecting it. This has resulted in blotchy rings that are uneven, not brightly lit from all angles and bad daylight performance. OSS Designs solves this by replacing the plastic stock rings with real light emitting LED banks comprised of 216 LEDs – the results speak for themselves!

Your bumper will have to be removed in order to gain access to the headlamps:

how long do you think my down time would be? Is there another DIY for removing the headlights once the bumper is off?

There are some screws holding the headlight.

Total downtime should be just over a week
