bottom front seat cushion leather tear at seam
Hi Folks. I have an E92 drivers front bottom cushion coming apart at the left to right factory seams. Black leather sport seat.
Has anyone out there either had it recovered or repaired. ? I don't think Bmw sells the cover anymore. Thanks again. |

I replaced mine with a OEM passenger side cover found online. You have to remove the seat. Getting the side switch assembly off can be problematic. At least on E90 there is a clip you have to reach a tool up inside the plastic assembly and push up/down while another clip midway has to pushed in the opposite direction.
When you try to release the middle clip the front has a tendency to fall back in so you have to apply force to keep it pulled off the clip after it has been released. Also for some reason the driver side seat belt glamor cover is a real pain to remove. I broke mine in the process, but it still clips back in. I'm pretty sure they sell the cover sets online too. As in full leather. At that point you just have to get some hog clips, pull the old cover off the foam and put new one on. It's not that difficult. |
