Really interesting. Breaking down the design of the M240i and see how it can impact the new M2.

Another video where they compare the M240i to the M2.

The G42 is lower, longer, and just as wide as the old M2. The proportions in person are on-point. It looks way less toy-like than any of its predecessors. It has flared fenders and a prominent hood bump. For a non-M, I don’t know what more one can reasonably expect.

I wonder what type of smoke is coming out of that contraption on the gentleman's desk?

Would have been more interesting to see an alternative to the rear of the vehicle, since that seems to be the most common complaint.

I guess that this guy has no clue that the G42 is built on a larger platform than the previous 2 series? If all cars followed his design proportion rules, all cars would look alike? I'm just astounded that BMW hasn't already contacted him to help them correct the errors they've made. Maybe he can take his smokepot and kitty with him to work.
I like the styling of the previous 2. I also like the styling of the new model. I'm glad I don't have to try to make a living as a back seat car driver or designer.

gone: beloved '74 Mazda RX-3, various V8 Camaros and V8 Mustangs, various other Mazdas including a '10 Mazdaspeed 3, several late model Dodge Chargers including a 6.4 liter R/T. There were others along the way but I didn't love them much.

Im surprised at all the hate honestly. I think he did a great job personally, and I know its all subjective. I think the headlights looked great, they accentuated the width of the car.
