What’s your rationale on value ? 2018 was a way diffrent economy. Many did not even know what a CS was. Right now people paying stupid (and I mean that literally) over MSRP money for all kinds of in demand luxury items. Porsche and Rolex for example. F80 CS was last of the great F cars. Only 1200 were made and only half came to U.S. so pretty rare. And they were reliable as hell and had a true DCT. If you snagged one at discount like I did at 10k under your already in the money on resale value.

Not debating you jus sayin. Who knows what cars will go down in history as classics. That’s always been a crapshoot when it comes to cars. Of course, everybody thinks their latest and greatest are destined to become resale value classics.

Just looking at value now compared to other CS models against original MSRP is all. You’re right, I have no idea of future value. I like the F80 CS, but they just sat on the lots as dealers couldn’t sell them at MSRP. Not the case for other CS models. Maybe it was just due to poor timing and different market back then. Still an amazing car.

Yea they were sitting for sure. Las Vegas BMW had two of them still on lot in December 2018. I thought for sure they wouldn’t budge off MSRP, so was surprised when they accepted first offer I threw out. I was like damn should have went lower lol. For sure the 25K over a comp scared most away. Lots of fat money out there now tho. Not sure why or how but it’s crazy times.

Your comment wasn’t even about the CS, it was about the M2. It was a very ignorant post saying the M2 wasn’t the best BMW could offer.
It's front page news, so when a thread hits front page you might see a bmw enthusiast with a different model. I don't have an m2 either and I think auto only sucks. But EPA has made it almost impossible to do at this point.

Turn signal exiting the circle. The assumption is that is the final light set up. It might not be as well.

I’m hopeful they’ll offer that front splitter or some of the optional parts.

You can always buy parts to any modern BMW so you will be able to source it without issue. I'm more excited for tuners to copy the M2 CS' ECU mapping for the entire powertrain, steering, suspension, etc. so we can recode it to any G87. Need to unlock the ECU to do that which currently can only be done via bench unlock. Tuners are persistent at trying to hack the ECU. They may be able to get around having to remove it to bench unlock in the near future, *fingers crossed*.

Ideally, in my pie in the sky world, you would be able to take your car to a BMW dealer and they just update your car or if we're really talking sheer insanity, you take your phone, pay BMW whatever the price is and they OTA that shit directly to your car.

I wish. The only aftersales they will ever consider offering are heated seats or other commonplace options as a monthly service. No matter how much negative response they get they continue to test the waters. Then shortly into your new car ownership they'll start soliciting you to get into a new BMW.

Like that Halloween video?
I can see it clear as day, you come home to your wife berating you, "the car told me that Kim Kardashian drives an X5, why aren't I?!?"
