What's up with M-Sport Wheel choice discrepancy on "build your own"? pic inside
I finally ordered my 2011 MSport 335i Coupe. I already have a set of 19" wheels waiting for the car, but was curious what was going on with this picture... in the MSport package details, it only gives *one* choice of wheel - the 19" style 230's. I really like those wheels and can probably find winter tires for them since I already have summer 19's.
The odd thing is that after my order was sent through, my build sheet lists 18" Style 193M's. The Build Your Own picture shows the 193M's, but nowhere does it give the option for these wheels, nor does it say that the 230's are $1,000 more (like my build sheet does). It only lists the 230's as part of the $2,800 MSport package.. Anyone know what's up? See below.. |

Yeah I noticed that too, looks like a logistics issue. It's been like this for at least a week. Ask your CA to clarify.
If my car arrived with the wrong wheels I might be upset ...

I think you have to go on to the Next page where you actually select the 230 wheels. First you select the M Sport package, then the bigger wheels for an additional price.

This has been wrong ever since BMW USA changed the M Sport options as of March 1, 2011. It took a month for the site to stop showing the Sport Package. Chalk it up to lazy web site developers.

I ordered the M-sport too, was not given any choice of wheel on the build site. Would have been a nice option - try to work out a deal with your CA.

This is wrong. There is no option on the Accessories page for the 230 wheels at all, with or without M sport package selected. |
