My wife’s RHD 2013 F31 Tourer has developed a strange problem. Suddenly both front doors stopped locking and unlocking using the fob OR the central locking button on the dashboard at the same time. Both rear doors unlock and lock with the fob and the central locking button and the tailgate also unlocks with the fob. Pulling the door unlock leaver opens the doors and pushing the pins down locks them. I have checked the fuses visually and they appear intact. I find it strange that both actuators would fail at the same time. We’d just had some work done on the car to replace the offside front fog light and surround due to a bird strike but unfortunately my wife didn’t realise the doors weren’t locking and unlocking for a few days afterwards. Any clues what might be happening if it isn’t the actuators, or should I be looking at replacing them? We’ve tried the second fob and even replaced the batteries to ensure it isn’t a fob problem.
