USA M240i HP?

I see a lot of videos on m240i and some states the HP is 374hp, but bmw usa says 382 hp. Whats the actually hp for US models?

374 is European spec, 382 is USA spec

US and rest of the world have a slightly different definition of HP. Specs are exactly the same, power output in kW is the same, but HP is calculated differently.

SAE/BS is 745w per HP, ECE/DIN is 736w per HP

While what you are saying is technically correct, that would mean the EU version would have a higher hp than the US one. It’s the other way round here.

Plus no one has accounted for the EU M seats; adds 30bhp.

Isn't it the exhaust particulate filter that robs some power in the 374 rated hp markets?

Good point! Maybe EU horses are more powerful than American horses?!

It would probably be the petrol particulate filter.
