do you drive a diesel? if you do its the guvnor!!! the the diesel equivalant of a rev limiter, seems as if your stuck at a speed and the car goes no more

diff to a rev limiter which cuts power and fuel for split second

If you are describing what I think you are:

1. Accelerate
2. Revs to 5000 rpm
3. Does not shift and engine starts to sound rough.

Then as dxb says it sounds like the engine being limited to stop the engine from lunching itself by continuing to rev higher and is probably ok.

The issue would then be why it didn't shift up.

Get it to the dealer. If it's reproducable take them out and show them, if not try to capture some video if you have a suitable 'phone/camera/camcorder.

At less than a week after delivery it's their problem to sort... and make sure they give you a loan car.

hehe flet like knocking her out but she seemed stressed and admitted laibility straight away besides i found out i do some work for the company she works for ,so ko was out of the quest , trying to sort out the repair work and trying to get a 330d or an e92 ar a courtesy car so as to experience how the
'fortunate' half of the form feel

still keep on noticing my loss of power as soon as i hit 40mph the revs go up but im stuck at 40 and unless i let my foot off accelerator the gears shift and some movement happens it this what a "flat spot" is and will a remap sort it out?
