You must live in Germany or something, I don't drive on a track where a G8x can hit that.

I don't know what's people were expecting lol..
The BMW G87 M2 is a one-off car. They are not built for mass production. I'm not surprised BMW did not set the base at $65K. The amount of testing research and development is very expensive and these cars are built for certain demographic of people. G87 is a full M car and most likely BMWs best road car to date. The M4/M3 has aged and moved into older buyers looking for a cool car to drive to work and so forth. You won't see anyone else doing what BMW has done with the M2. Audi RS3 is Fugly looking and strange with front wheel drive platform. Remember the M240i is the MPERFORMANCE model helps people get there foot into the door at M. Nothing wrong with the M240i it's about $20K cheaper. Remember BMW now sales the MP cars under the M umbrella and consider them track capable. Porsche does exact same thing with the Cayman and the Macon. |

Kind of makes sense. A new loaded M240i is basically the price I paid for my 2020 M2C. the F87 was cheaper because you got less content than the F80. You can basically load the G87 up to G80 spec. What's included in the premium pack?

Holy hell and that is 6MT. This proves a point I made in the reveal thread. These cars are going to have serious sticker shock due to post-COVID supply chain pricing realities. My 2021 M2 that I plucked off the lot before COVID insanity cost me a Civic Si less than the G87. I had a deposit down but pulled it after seeing the reveal. Just not for me, at least not yet. At $100K I'm honestly considering an X3M just for the kids and what not.

Not necessarily. The G87 will be $80k decently equipped. G82 can be had right now well under that. Now let's talk about a 3 year old g87 vs 5 year old g82 in terms of resale value and the g82 will be higher.
