That doesn't say much, you can't gauge the success of any vehicle within the last two years - there is even a waiting list for the latest KIAs and Hyundais, need I say more. We are just feeling the aftermath of a lot of pent-up spending, which didn't have much to do with taste or actual desires, more so availability.

This model will sell as much as BMW expects to recoup from a niche offering but it doesn't have anything which is going to sway it into the direction of becoming a runaway smash hit..

That said, I still might get one but it's more like it check the boxes for the price, not something I'm actually ecstatic about. 😒

The car is a home-run performance wise but it appears like the front and rear bumpers look like they belong on an entirely different vehicle. They took a curvy design language and slapped a bunch of hard straight lines where they don't belong merely for the exaggerated effect. It seems like the designer wanted to leave a mark rather than respect the heritage of the model.

Anyways, I'm crying over spilled milk but that's just my perspective.

Well, you certainly do not have to order/purchase one and personally I would refrain from doing such if I shared the same opinion as you.

Rainbow Dash! My girls only wanted to play with this one, and the rest of them just sat around. Probably just the opposite in the case of the G87 in this color.

I am getting used to the front - it's not nearly as good looking or aggressive as the F87 in my opinion, but I can appreciate what they were going for, and it looks pretty good at certain angles / depths.

The back just doesn't work in my opinion...too many contrasting angles and an "unfinished" look, which the performance parts somehow make even worse.

My wife tried to tell me about some Blue bmw she liked for a long time. Whenever I point one out in traffic, some whatever msport sedan that is way more common than their owners realize, she goes "nah not that"... but then, one time, she pointed to a long beach blue M2 and said: "that one, I like that one". LBB M2 is a special looking color. Well done!
