Is that power dome stuck on top of the film or is it functional?

while its not my particular cup of tea, it does look stunning with lots of attention to detail. Enjoy!

A little later I’ll make a separate post, I’ll put it in order after tests and temporary solutions, I plan to start tuning the engine in February. Now everything was done very unprofessionally, and not very correctly... but if you want, I can show you how not to do it)))))

I did a little research when my clear coat failed, I read that wrap only lasts up to five years while paint can last much longer with reasonable maintenance. I found it strange how wrappers don’t want to give you a reasonable estimate and I didn’t want to play that game. I had the hood, roof and trunk lid repainted and am happy with the results.

As a high line refinisher I have to say films are pretty damn awesome for customization. Also, non invasive! Paint and the subsequent labor involved is prohibitively exspensive. Often people don't want to pay what it would take to get the look you can with wraps. You still need to find good materials and a quality installer but in the end you can leave your finish intact where painting is not as reversible. Also, you can be more creative with films more so than paint. Some of the effects a creative wrap artist can create can't be duplicated in liquid.

I'm thinking of returning the stock hood, because... Everything has already been redone, now the hump is not needed... although I’m used to it)

What about the spray-able coating that peels off? Goes on like paint, peels off like film. No affiliation, just found it interesting.

That's a beautiful color! I like sleeker looking hoods, but this is an amazing ride. Did you do it all yourself?
I was thinking about masking off a couple of designs on the side of the car, sanding down and painting but leaving the rest of the car stock paint. Do you think that would work? |

If you do it yourself, then prepare the surface perfectly, otherwise all the flaws will be visible( |
