I just hope they don't cut power/lumber seat features because of the supposed parts shortage, like on other models.. Too bad we can't select individual colors.. |

For the record, when you opt for the manual option, you are restricted from adding Active Cruise Control or Remote Engine Start..

Hmm G42 gets the 360 camera with the parking package, would be a weird omission on the G87...

So for full leather, i guess the dash is not included? Not seeing it on any of the pictures or visualizer.

Red with CF roof, will be awesome. Put some after market CF spoiler, diffuser and lip; You get a very cool aggressive look at a decent price.

I don't believe one will be offered as a package, but it sounds from this video they will be offered as M Performance parts.

To me that reads like sunroof and carbon roof will be options. Not sunroof is standard with a carbon roof option.
"There will be two optional roofs..." Although below from press release seem to suggest sunroof is standard. "There are two roof variants for the new BMW M2: an electrically operated glass slide/tilt moonroof offering a glass surface now larger by nearly 20 percent compared with the outgoing model is standard equipment. A weight-reducing M Carbon roof panel is optional and deletes the moonroof." Last edited by M3WC; 10-12-2022 at 02:34 PM.. |

The whole purpose of the M2 is build a M car that's more engaging to drive. That's catered towards driving enthusiast. BMWs goal was not to cheap out on the M2. The reasoning for the price for the M2 is because of the cheaper materials on the inside, and also smaller footprint, which also reduction of cost.
It does not cost BMW anything to tune an engine at a particular horsepower rating. The reasoning that the M4/M3 are more expensive is because they have created an expensive design and they are bigger cars and also they are offering individual colors. I wouldn't be surprised if BMW M put more hours into development on the M2 to make sure that it was going to carry the brand. BMW knows that the M4/M3 are now big cars for what they are. |
