New to me 2011 335d
Hello, I am a new 2011 335d owner (base model). I admired the car parked in my neighbor’s driveway for the past year. I finally ran into him and asked if he wanted to sell. He had a pretty good maintenance history (CBU cleaning in 2022) but stated his wife was the primary driver until he bought her a minivan. I test-drove the car and noticed the windshield wipers did not work when I turned them on. I also noted the Service Engine Soon light was on. I listened to the engine and it sounded pretty good, but when I got it home, I noticed what could be a potential harmonic balancer going bad. The car’s exterior was dirty, but once I washed and clay-barred the car, the paint looked pretty good. The rims are beat-up from curb rash and I will more than likely get new rims and tires. I just ordered the wire to run a scan. I also plan to change the oil, transmission fluid and filter, fuel filter, and other basic maintenance items. After I washed the car and took it for a spin, I noticed a sizeable puddle of water in the passenger footwell. Is this from pressure washing the windshield and windshield wiper area or is there a blocked duct? Any thoughts??
