In reality, I doubt anybody will ever go in the back, but it is all a bit misleading… And that makes it naughty. Plus the blank plate just looks naff. But I cannot see it so everything is good!

nah, that was done for weight savings, in response to all the online criticism of the car's weight.

(only kidding! haha! But I'm surprised that BMW didn't at least toss that excuse out there!)

This was announced for MY24 and MY25 a long time ago. You just didn't read all the information that was publicly available.

While we're on the topic: They downgraded the door handles as well. Used to be fully metallic, now only the handle itself is metallic. The lock/unlock button is now surrounded by black plastic.

Small things, but it is ridiculous.

If it's painted plastic, I prefer the black finish. If it's actual metal, BMW can get effed. None of these savings are passed onto the customer, and they'll still raise the prices year over year (I'm still in line to buy an M2 though...)

Too bad the actual handle isn't black as well. I hate the silver trim in the interior.
