Looks so much better than Brooklyn Grey. Would have been a great configuration to have added a bold interior.

Unless you spend the thousands to PPF the entire car don’t bother.
Better yet, you can also just wrap the car this color as well and not worry about it since the panel wrap can be easily replaced and it will match perfectly.
PPF, here I come. A wrap just isn’t the same.

I am not a fan of these matte colors. It is hard to make an M2 look dull, but this nearly achieves it.

Aren't they very difficult to repair if scratched, too? I can't imagine the stress levels of owning one of these.

will never understand how accentuating the lines (and big sexy fenders in the M2's case) of a car makes it more dull, see these kinda comments on every frozen thread

I think this car would benefit from some different wheels.

This will be a gorgeous color if it happens. Saw an M340i in this color and it looked amazing.

The overall effect is dulled because the paint is literally dull.

Line de/accentuation comes from color choice, as in darker or lighter tones.

nah neither brooklyn grey/alpine white or BSM show the lines better then either pure grey or portimao frozen. Gloss hides them more then color.

With a gloss car the bulge behind the front fender and the rear fender would be hard to clearly see from this angle but on frozen they stand out:

I'm still trying to reason about it in my head, but I think this is correct.

Dark & glossy = more contrast to see the features of the car
Light & glossy = can be "washed out" easily with relatively little light

With matte finishes I do find that often the car can look completely flat if it isn't in the proper lighting.

Absolutely true.

Owned a frozen grey M340i. All the lines on the car pop out.

In terms of maintenance. I bought a special washing fluid for matte colors. That's it. Not sure if I noticed any differences maintaining the color compared to non frozen bimmers.

Not my bag. I'd much rather have a glossy finish in Technoviolet (darker), Mexico Blue (a bit lighter), or anything interesting.

These matte cars just take away the wow factor for me. And I'd lose it over scratch repair. Here in Germany, every other broke Antifa motherfucker scratches or dents your car out of envy. I can't imagine the stress with a hard-to-repair color.
