S58 "brap" on shift

I've been trying to get some exhaust clips for my G87 after I installed my exhaust but I've noticed that it doesn't do the signature "brap" on shift that S58s do (sounds like a jet breaking the sound barrier).

I did notice that it sounded like the XHP ignition cut on one pull that I did and I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. I don't have XHP on my car, only my catback exhaust from IRL.

Maybe it's because of my single midpipe on my car? My friend has the PSI midpipe and his car does the brap sound with no issues.

Any ideas?
