20x9.5?

Is anyone running 20x9.5 et40, All around. I have seen some people run 20s, not sure about the width they are running.

You are going to have trouble up front with 9.5 ET40. There is not a great deal of space to the strut at the front and 9.5 ET40 will be 27.5mm closer to the strut. You'd need min 25mm spacers which will adversely affect your scrub radius and create poke beyond the fender, which I believe is illegal in the US.

If you are going up to a 9.5, you'd need an ET of 13 to maintain the OEM wheel gap to the strut, but you end up with 24.5mm extra poke.

You need to get your wheel spec right before you worry about tyres, then you need to consider that some brands come up bigger than others for the same size tyre. If you are close to the strut, this could be a consideration. Ideal tyre sizes for a 9.5 would be 255 or 265. You could go up to a max of 275.

You don't mention if you intend to lower or if you have xDrive, which makes life a little more difficult.

Okay got it thank you for the information. I found a 20x8.5 et 28 and a 20x9.5 for rear instead. I am thinking of running a 10 mm spacer in the front.

Currently on
19x8 et 27 15mm
19x8.5 et 40 15mm

That's close to the ZTK option front wheel spec (8.5J x 19 ET25), so will fit fine.

I have custom forged alloys at 8.5 ET20 up front which is nearly perfect, so your spec with 10mm spacer at the front with ET28 will look great and won't rub on the strut.

You don't mention your rear wheel spec. I have 9.5 ET30 back there and I'm lowered on Eibach Pro springs. I don't have the 4mm stick on fender flares from the ZTK package and I am about flush with the fender at the rear.

Hope this helps. I spent days on this stuff when I was looking for wheels!

I stuck with 245/35/19 and 255/35/19 MPS4S*. It's plenty of tyre for 4wd.

With 20s, I feel you'll need to go down to 30 profile, or your circumference will be too large and you will get speedo inaccuracy, so 255/30/20 up front and 275/30/20 at the rear.

Post photos when you're done??

They are Bola FP1, fully forged custom wheels. They are made to order and you can specify any size, offset, bore, colour etc so you can get exactly what you want. They are also remarkably good value and save around 9Ibs per corner.

If you are looking for good value custom fully forged wheels, take a look at West Forged as well as Bola. Their Macus wheel suits the G42 well and they are a similar price to the Bola FP1 - around £2400 for a set.
