Released to carrier...
Ya know this isint my first car or my first BMW but for some reason I am so anxious to take delivery of my 335 coupe. I'm driving a M Roadster now and the wife drives a 330 sedan, and I find out today that my car was released to the carrier and waiting for port of exit. I must say this is my first " ordered " car and the wait sucks !!! From what I read on the board this is the most painful wait....waiting for it to load a ship. Help me work through this !!

Get a very fast spaceship and travel very close to the speed of light, don't be gone too long unless you want your 335i to win a vintage car competition.

It seems like each one of us went through the same thing.
My new 335 is scheduled to arrive tomorrow...can't wait!

What ship is your's boarding? Mine's the Emden. Supposed to be boarding today or tomrrow I think. How do people know EXACTLY what day their car will arrive. My dealer can only give a guess.

I think the hardest part is everything seems to flow like clockwork once the car hits the bodyshop.....it gets to the port and loaded on a vessel, and the vessel is on-time. Seems to be the VPC that is a complete mystery--I feel it's even a mystery to the dealership. Love to setup a Fox News hidden cam to see what's really going on there......seriously, they turn the car around in 48 hours, everyone is happy and the BMW camp makes money. How do they explain holding cars for 7-8 business days when time is money?? Or is it a 335 thing?

I'll tell you what... The ship timing is no given either. My 335i coupe is being shipped through K-Line on the Emden. It was supposed to leave Bremerhaven yesterday. I tracked the Emden coming back from the US to Bremerhaven and it took some wild arse turn north for a day, must have had bad weather. In any case, now it's not leaving till December 2nd and set to arrive in Charleston till Dec 16h. Ugh. Christmas is looking less likely.
