Question Installing Helix FMIC and Vishnu DCI this weekend!

Ok so I have already had my Vishnu DCI sitting in my room waiting on my Helix FMIC to come in. Well today the FMIC came in! The plan is tomorrow go get a baseline dyno, then Saturday go get it all installed. Then if there is enough time to go dyno again I will and see the gain increase.

My questions are...I have a Procede tune that came with the car when I bought it so, I don't have the software installed to my laptop. So I can't hook up my laptop to my car and do anything. Where or what do I have to do to download the software?

Also when I do have everything installed, I will have the tune, FMIC, and DCI....Is there maps (when I figure out how to install the software.) that will allow me to run higher boost but still be relatively safe? Also when I do install everything and go to the dyno will the Procede tune take care of all the adjustments...or am I going to need someone knowing what there doing to adjust the tune for the mods?

Sorry for the newb questions but I'll appreciate all the answers I get.

Thanks,
Josh

Ah I see...One more thing though. The guy I bought the car from says he thinks its V4 rev2. Is there a for sure way to find out what version tune I have? I don't want to upload the wrong things and mess up my car.

Only way to be 100% sure is to check the actualy PROcede unit. From the sounds of it you're going to have to do this anyhow to update your software/firmware since you don't have a USB cable running into the glovebox

PS -- Helix FTW

I do have the cable running through my door. (I wish the guy previously would of ran it through the glove box) So does that mean I can hook it up to the usb and figure out which version...without messing anything up?

I'm not 100% sure (since I'm a COBB user), but from what I understand if you have the PROcede manager installed on your computer & connect it to that USB, you should be able to get all the info regarding firmware, software & version of the PROcede unit

i have only done this once and with the help of another forum member but you would need to go to the vishnu website and choose the applicable firmware and maps. also it would be helpful if you downloaded or printed the user manual that is also found in the same page to guide you through the update. good luck

Hey Bud.
Take apart your car and take some pictures of the Procede you have installed to find out what version you have.
