Take the PIE. To Nicole drive and use the cargo complex to sneak onto the Changi Airport tarmac, tie up to a Airbus A380 and hold on. Really not much you can do and still pass a Vicom inspection every year |

No, Singapore is very strict with modifications. Very little is allowed. He can drive up to Malaysia and get a tune and some exhaust work but it must look and sound stock. Big fines$$$ if caught.

Move to a different country then haha, my cab driver told me how strict things are there when it comes to cars when I was in Singapore last summer. Malaysia is the wild Wild West lol

I can't believe I'm going to say this but a diff swap might be a good idea.
Singapore is a really small island 13x23 miles and the free way speed limit is 90 KM / H. Therefore a taller final drive might be useful. |

Diff swap is always a good idea! Whatever the question, diff swap is the answer...

Given your location and car, I'd opt for lightweight wheels. Reduction in rotational mass makes a big difference on low powered cars

That's what I'm saying though...
I figured it was a 4 cylinder so with that being said, the 3im is out along with headers. He can swap diffs and hopefully they fit the flange his driveshaft has... our headers are out of the question and with that, they may have a set of compatible headers for his ride. Or they can gut the cats and weld in a straight through pipe in the hollow cat to prevent turbulence. But with that route, idk how their inspections go over there.... Frankly, most of us are in NA and haven't really delve into the 4 cylinder side of the spectrum. I'm sure there are mods for him, but majority of ours just are not likely compatible candidates. Ya know?

Maybe a wet shot nitrous kit would be the easiest
But he may or may not be the Guinea pig for that endeavor.

The nitrous mods are also illegal and if caught the police will likely impound your car and charge you with heavy fines. Like 6 digit fines. You might avoid jail. Lighter wheels and diff change would go unnoticed by the authorities. Considering the vehicle lifespan, the OP probably does not want to put much money in this car anyways. Speak of the OP, where is he? He wrote this same post in two forums and disappeared . |
