I don’t think a 6MT will be offered. I’ll hold any comments on aesthetics until I see a more finished product.
I think it'll be pitched under a hundred but with optional extras such as carbon buckets or CCB by which time it'll have gone to the $105-$115k range. It would be nice if they'd ditch the back seats, the front end, the rear end, and the oversized digital screen

Whoops, here I am daydreaming again 😅

I like the lines too. It is the headlights and taillights I really don't like.

I remember last gen when the M2 comp were testing people all initially thought it’s the CS…

(Testing CS with the base cast wheel is certainly interesting… )
This is my question as well - couldn't this be the Comp? Wouldn't that get released prior to the CS?

Yes. A lot of people really hate on the G87. I never judge anymore until I see in person. I got my G87 in April and I love it. It seems like with anything new, people need to get used to it. I love the fenders especially seeing them in my mirrors. I believe you need to live with and own one to judge. Everytime I drive it, I am so impressed.

I love the styling overall but agree that tailight design could be much better.
The other issue is the way it sits from the factory ruins the look with huge wheel gaps and the offset of the wheels is not correct. So you have these bulky fenders that give the illusion it’s sitting on small wheels. Its like wearing an Armani suit with wrong socks/sneakers.

Is it still gonna be 3800 lbs or are we expecting to see some significant weight loss of 30 lbs or so?

Probably how the car handles after the weight savings of removing cup holders.

He did add that the 6MT with the G8x is (pretty much) "an afterthought" for those that still want to stick to it.
Don't think the CS will come with the 6MT which means...no interest to me...

I don’t think think it’s hate, car design is more like a fashion plus practically these days, and BMW is not afraid of drastic changes in design. if you appreciate the previous generations you will have a hard time liking the current design until you get used to it and appreciate it.
I remember people used to hate x7, but now you see couples of x7s in every parking lot in my town.

A car brand that's supposed to be about driving enjoyment refusing to cater to those who enjoy driving the most. I should have been born earlier

BMW stopped making good cars in 2004.

I've been saying it for years LOL

People know a spyshot/test mule is just that right? It's out there testing updates/new developments. The wheels may not be new but that may not be what's being tested.

I find it interesting to see glimpses of what may be coming but if it's still in camo then it's not final. When they start shedding camo it'll be a better indication of the final product (comp or CS)

Per one of the newer articles they are doing away with all the M base models. for 2025 there is a spec bump in HP ( however you want to view that , if they actually up the boost or just report actual hp numbers). I think the normal M2 with the spec bump will become M2 competition and the one in the spy shots will most likely be a CS.

This makes sense.
They’ve been calling the “M-Lite” M Automobiles for years now.
It’s confusing to most people when people with M240i call their cars “M2”, or have their cars be called that by others.
Now the Homo Ms can be called “Competition” to create further differentiation.
If it’s “M-something” it’s what used to be called M-lite.
If it’s competition, CS, or CSL, it’s a Homo M.
