2009 BMW 335i 98k milles

Hello I wanted to see if it worth getting a 335i that has 98k miles on. To note this I also have great experience on fixing cars which involves engine swaps and transmission. I’ll be posting the Carfax on and please tell me if it’s good to get. Just need a second opinion.

Price is good, miles are good. From the carfax, owners 1 and 2 took good care of her (multiple visits to the dealership). Can't say what happened in the last 5 years but that's only 18k miles.

I see a test drive in your near future.

Garage List
2006 BMW 330i  [8.45]
2009 BMW 328i Touri ...  [8.00]
2013 BMW X5 35i  [7.80]
2011 BMW 528i  [8.70]
2006 Mazda3  [5.50]
Be sure to check the top seals... basically one on the front and rear of each of the panels. They go bad and are $$$ to replace. If they are bad in any way, be sure to get a lower price. Rest of it is basic BMW stuff, which oil leaks have been addressed, has the suspension been updated, radiator, trans, etc.

Its really hard to say from an ad, you really need to inspect the car and see if common leaks are present like Valve cover gasket, oil filter housing gasket, oil pan gasket etc.

Also keep in mind that turbos usually start to have wastegate rattle, for me it was around the 115-120K mile range even though my turbos were replaced under warranty when my car had like 30K or 40K i don't recall exactly off the top of my head right now.

There are some pretty expensive things like injectors that cost over $3K nowadays to do so you will want to make sure that car has the "index 12" injectors for sure as lower indexes can many time be problematic. I actually think that price is ok-ish since the car is an E93 convertible which is usually the least desirable of the E9x platform due to its extra weight and less chassis rigidity.
