Yeah I totally chickened out doing this.

Did you remove any dashboard trim while doing it, so you could see behind?

What if BMW had changed what’s behind and it wouldn’t fit?!

What year is your car?

Thank you for selling it to me. I have a 2024. I walked past it for the last month in my garage and this morning I just got sick of walking past it. I didn't remove anything to look back there. Not saying that was smart. But based on what I saw in JoseSportM 's post I took an semi educated guess nothing was back there. I will say it would have been easy to nick the thin black cable that does the controls above the door. I cut the black skin off by hand tracing the template with a utility knife. Then i dug the insulation away a bit to see the depth before you hit the hard plastic frame. Then I just gauged that depth with my multi tool so I knew I wasn't going much deeper so as not to hit anything. After it was removed I cleaned my edges which no one would see anyway (but i like things clean) with my sander tool. I then vacuumed, then saturated in the hole and the surrounding areas with interior cleaner, and wiped with a micro fiber towel. After that just push the cubby in with reasonable force and sunk the top two black screws you sent with it. There is a bracket in the car to screw the inside of the cubby (interesting they have that there to receive it still), I went thru my screw collection until I found one that worked and secured that as well. After I took some tape and covered the inside the cubby with tape and pulled it off slowly to get any dirt off the fabric.

Rekindled my interest too, have to admit. I still really miss it from my MY2023.
Think I'm going to make serious enquiries as to tracking down a RHD G42 one.
IIRC a G20/22 may fit - can anybody confirm?

Got my springs installed a couple days ago. Eibach Pro Kit. The drop is absolutely perfect. Ride quality exceeded my expectations (we'll see how long that'll last). Overall super happy with them!

changed out my winters to my summers, updated idrive, re-upped all the bimmercode stuff including anti-dazzle this weekend. was thinking of installing the aa downpipe i received this week, but i think im going to wait until i know i wont need the car for a day or two, just in case. >.<

was going to switch out my spacers from 13mm in front, 10mm in rears to 15/13 combo, but the 13/10 seemed fine enough with my staggered rwd setup. anyone looking for 15mm spacers? (kinda kidding but not. theyre from KIES).

How is your coin cubby for colour match?
I just fitted mine and it's just a smudge grey enough to annoy me.
Wasn't expecting much from AliEx but if was just a little blacker it would be perfect! If you wouldn't mind posting a link I might take a chance and order another if its from a different supplier. TIA.

I havent noticed a colour difference and as a graphic designer that sort of stuff normally pops straight away, i got mine from aliexpress too so i presume they are all the same

Mine was half the price of that one but i would mind if it turns out a better match - was it the G20 one you went for?

EDIT: Never mind just spotted they're both from AIRSPEED - I'll check min again tomorrow in daylight

I bought it... does that count? I've been looking for a Portimao Blue 2022 with active cruise for nearly 6 months. I'm personally not a fan of the changes made in 2023+ with iDrive8 and the removal of some of the options (driver's side glove box, for example). I've only seen 3 pop up and the first 2 went fast, so I jumped on this one in Knoxville Tennessee. Flew out and picked it up at Harper Italia (great buying experience!) and drove it back (Knoxville, TN > Nashville, TN > Memphis, TN > Little Rock, AR > Fort Worth, TX > Austin, TX > San Antonio, TX). This thing was a BLAST to drive home!

This is my 3rd blue BMW. First was a 1995 Avus Blue M3 which I bought in 2005 and sold in 2016, second was a 2014 Estoril Blue 335 which I bought in 2016 and sold in 2018. It's been nearly 6 years since I've had a BMW and it was time to get another one to scratch that itch.

First mods installed are the center console organizer and the "coin tray" or whatever you want to call it...

ill tell you what i DIDNT do today, and thats install the AA catted downpipe because i absolutely could not get it to fit the exhaust pipe. so i got to about 99% done and for a couple hours there was absolutely no way that downpipe was going to fit. im absolutely beyond annoyed. so i had to take everything back off, redo the o2 sensors, reinstall the oem downpipe and will have to bring it to my indy guy to see if he can do it for money. at least the oem downpipe went back in without issue. waste of three hours.
