I have some Port Installed options quoted but the rear spoiler has me stumped. My CA tells me that the port will install the Carbon rear decklid spoiler ($740 total) only in conjunction with the front splitter ($2100) which is quite odd. I told him to keep on them to see if they can do the rear spoiler only as the front spoiler is nice but no where near worth $2100.

I think the spoiler looks great and I personally will be putting a order in for one.

My UK supplier has told me order now and it will be here in February.

The only thing I am unsure about is if I would wrap it gloss black or not, don't get me wrong I know carbon fibre is great but in my opinion you either go carbon fibre everything or gloss black and my car has all the black bits and the only other carbon part I like is the rear diffuser as I find the rest of them abit tacky looking.

But in the same breath it's alot of money to just wrap and hide away the carbon if that makes sense, none the less will defiantly be getting one ordered and it makes a massive difference to the rear.

Great work G42Bama

@beemer89
I ordered the front splitter and side wings, but just like you I don’t like that they will be the only carbon fiber parts on the car with high gloss black on all other parts, so I let my dealer paint the parts to matching high gloss black. Think that would look way better.
Personally I’m not a fan of the spoiler at all, so didnt order that one.

The parts are at my dealer now, waiting for the car to arrive… (europe)

We'll be making a number of spoiler for the '2 when ours arrives in March.

When the parts are available for the front splitter, which eta is 1/27 for the front splitter, I’m going to order just the middle section and see if it’s a total cover for that crummy rubber front lip. I just have no idea if the middle is a finished piece or if you have to have the side winglets to cover any open sides for the middle piece. My parts dept said I could return with no restock if that were the case

I would just get the OEM M performance one that he has. On getbmwparts.com it's only $488.49 vs $572 on shop bmw. Unless $88 is worth waiting for a cheaper one. I just added mine to my order

Thanks for much for posting these. I have a Thundernight and have been considering getting the spoiler as well. I think it adds alot to break up the flatness of the rear with that little extension. Did you just PPF the gloss black, the whole front or the whole car? I was thinking of just doing the gloss blacks sills and rear diffuser area.

Wow! It looks gorgeous! One of the best sets of photos I've seen.
I really don't understand how people think this design is ugly, especially after seeing your car? I understand about differing tastes and all, but c'mon!
Boy, that ceramic really looks great. Gonna consider it.

100% agree

It makes a huge difference IMO. The car does look "smushed" from the rear as it comes. Mine is sitting in my trunk. Need to get it installed. Debating getting it painted Thundernight vs leaving it as is.

I think Thundernight being so dark, from a distance the carbon looks almost the same as the paint especially in overcast lighting. The spoiler will never pop like it does on a white car or Brooklyn Grey. If the carbon finish is nice and well done as a factory piece should then it's probably nice to show it off. But if you want it to look fully integrated, painting is the way to go.

Just got quoted $674 for parts and labor for mine to be installed at the dealer upon delivery. I sprung for it and would rather not muck up my own paint if I do it wrong, very excited.

Much better than what my dealer quoted me on the spoiler and black M240i lettering. They quoted me $1090 total. I asked them for an itemized quote 2 days ago, but still haven't heard back.

The bonus of doing it with the port is insurance.
