Voluntary Safety Recall - some G42 2er and G87 M2 (side air bag cover - rear seats)

Checked "My Garage" on the BMW site this morning and the red recall letters are no longer above my car....progress? or a glitch on the site?

Hopefully the former.

I entered my VIN in the BMW Recall status tool and it no longer shows any open recall. Granted I’m still affected by the wireless charger related stop sale. But one down at least lol

Interesting. I checked my VIN. Says “0” recall.

Confirmed with the Performance Center where my car is that the recall was fixed and I should be able to pick the car up tomorrow!! (as long as their system updates tonight to remove the stop sale tagged to the car)

Fingers Crossed the system doesnt let me down tonight!

update from my CA on the wireless charging recall. They are going to deliver the car to me and I'll sign an acknowledgement of the recall issue, to be fixed at a later date. But if all goes as planned I'll get to pick up my car next week!

This wireless charging thing starting to sound like an in shop repair as opposed to a software update.

Does this apply for everyone? I don’t have to wait for them to fix it to pick it up?

Will contact the dealer tomorrow and hopefully can get the performance center delivery scheduled.

Great clean spec! Had a AW / Black 328 years ago that I loved! Jealous of your ambient lighting not being forced the M colors haha.

I'm really not sure. I closed on my loan last week and the check was sent the day the recall was issued...so the dealer already has the check. Not sure if that helped them get the car now? They didn't say if this was an exception or not. I will ask next time I talk to them.

The stop-sale has been removed from my car.

Planning on filling out paperwork today. This is exciting, half though it was going to be 2024 before I got the car

Performance center delivery date is not know but probably in 2-3 weeks?
