Mar 14th - Production begins
Mar 30th - Notified Car is complete from my CA, they will know better ETA when it gets on a vessel- (BMW Site says final Assembly )
April 4th - Ready for Transit
April 18th In transit on Glovis Sun
April 29th At Newark port
May 3rd Arrived at dealer!

My build is in some strange limbo, now. Ordered in March with an immediate allocation. It was originally scheduled for a week 14 production, then pushed to week 16, then it went backwards on the tracker from "scheduled for production" to "order received." After that, Genius told me it was pushed to week 22. Today, a few weeks later, Genius told me that there is no estimated production week, and seemed surprised that I was previously told week 22. I swear it was the same representative on the phone, too. My CA's response a few weeks ago was "no worries it will update!"

I had that happen to me before also. I'm week 23 now but I was week 8, then 14 now 23.

I think, I've lost track already... But some where between 8 and 14. I called and they told me I had no production week when previously the genius told me before I had moved to week 14, which I though was strange. Maybe it's because its in order recevied status and not scheduled for production? Not sure. I'm stuck at order received now from scheduled for production, been there since after passing week 14 and finding out I'm now at week 23. Frustrating for sure, I really hope it starts on week 23 this time.

I was told mine was released from VPC yesterday (5/2) and arriving at dealer (SF) on 5/8.
Interestingly, the tracker site still shows as "At Port" after going back a step from "In Transit"

I updated to in transit today and genius told me it should be at the dealer tomorrow! CA is off today so I couldn’t ask him when it can be ready for me.

2/20 order placed and production # received (week 9 scheduled)
3/9 told build was pushed to week 10
3/10 production began
3/17 assembly steps happened, moved to QC
4/5 final assembly
4/6 in transit to port
4/18 on Glovis Sun headed for NJ
4/30 at the port in NJ
5/3 in transit to dealer (estimated arrival 5/4)

Yea the genius confirmed the car was already released but needs to wait for a truck to transit it to WA...Congrats bro! The wait is almost over!!

Howdy! New to the forum- just placed an order for my M240i XDrive!! Not my first BMW but definitely the first car I have ever custom ordered... a sign of the times I guess. My salesman texted me last week saying we had an official production date of 5/20/2022.

I got Brooklyn Grey and the red interior with blue calipers and the high performance tire and cooling pack. I was reading through a couple of threads trying to figure out exactly what the enhanced cooling portion of the package was and the consensus seems to be that there is an additional engine oil cooler, something to do with the radiator (maybe just different programming with fan or active grille slats?), and something with the brakes?? Possibly larger front rotors but some people say that all US spec cars got the 374mm front rotors? Can anyone confirm or deny?

Other than that I'm completely stoked!! I'm coming from a 2020 Alfa Romeo Ti Sport RWD. Great driver's car, super dailyable, very sexy in Rosso Competizione and a Cuoio interior but good God I need more power! Love the proportions of it but honestly never used the backseat. The G42 M240i should fit the bill perfectly for the kind of driving I do and the outright versatility it gives it tons of value. After watching every single review I can get my hands on I can tell this thing is not going to disappoint.

Waiting impatiently for the aftermarket to develop all the goodies that I won't be able to resist. Cat-back exhaust being the first on the list with *can you imagine* REAL tips. Any info on systems being developed right now? In any case, very much excited to be getting back into the BMW underworld! See you guys on the forum.

congrats on your order and the production week confirmation , which is the most important part in my opinion
when exactly did you put your order with the dealership and they already had an open allocation for you or you waited a bit without allocation until you got your text from the dealer saying that the order updated with a production week ?

Thanks! They had an open allocation that was about to hit 112 status and as soon as they placed the order (4/20/22) it converted immediately to 112. Fingers crossed there aren't any last-minute feature removals
