This is my 4th BMW and honestly it is the best. I only have the 230i but still just as good.

Thanks for sharing. Even his 5 annoying features aren't that annoying, unless of course you're wanting a manual

Good review, another quick 0-60. Looked like a similar spec to the one I've ordered, can't wait.

By now I think we can confidently say that BMW has a winner here. Everyone seem to love it for what it is and designed to be, not an M car for good and bad but a great and fun street car.

Comparing with my own observations from our 2022 M240i I’d say that most reviewers has been fair and gotten it right.

Not a fan of either throttle house or the straight poops. They both seem more like influencers than reviewers to me… I always take what they say about cars with a grain of salt

I can't help notice that UK car gets different seats from the US? Is that an optional package?

No, they are standard on the M240 in the UK

Doesn't look like they have adjustable headrests, so I'm semi glad my car doesn't have it? I like sports seats as much as the next person, but the heritage comes from wearing a racing helmet when driving.

They are adjustable, in height. The standard sport seats would be my choice also because they free some rear back seat leg room. On top, comparing both, the standard sport seats felt at least as supportive to me. These one look a bit nicer, but also the standard ones are handsome enough to my taste.

It's a great car, just a shame you can't sit an adult in the back like you could in the last gen... Being a father now (after owning an M2) I am steered towards the M4 because of practicality reasons. The past 2 series was almost juste as usable as a 4 series but I understand the move by BMW.

You can thank the designer

When they sketch a car they're not always thinking about who's sitting in the back

And then when it comes to the engineering side of life there is only so much space

Not sure if the designer as all the liberty he wants, I mean if they tell him a 6 footer needs to be able to sit in the back he will work around it.

But I totally understand BMW's move, I mean why have 3 coupes in the line up who can fit adults.. just not needed, afterall it's in BMW's interest to push customers to a pricier car if they need more space.

Dude Throttle House are far more technical and driving experience-oriented than Mr. 0-60 Matt Watson. Their review on the M240 was relatively positive by the way.

Not to say I don't enjoy Matt's content, as he's entertaining and often has a good analysis of the cars he drives, but I'd argue he's more of an "influencer."

I think Throttle House does pretty honest and technical reviews. I agree it was positive, aside from Thomas being annoyed that his newly bought M2 OG took a beating by the M240. Only negativity they really gave it is the looks, which you'll get on just about every review video on this car.

I still feel like they did it dirty by not giving it its own review. They reviewed a daily driver car at the track against a car designed more for the track. I mean, of course they're going to like the driving dynamics of that car there more. The most honest review would be the 2022 m240i vs a 2021 and before.

I don't think they did it dirty, I think it was kind of cool seeing how badly it can beat an M2 in a straight line. Would a dedicated video be cool to see more M240i specifics? ... yeah.

Thomas having just bought the M2, they tried to make it interesting by comparing the two, which he obviously regretted.

It'll fit adults in the back seat but it's not going to be for a 2 hour trip or anything. My friends father was here - both 6'1" and my friend sat behind his dad for a quick drive around. You're not getting to stretch out much but it can be done.
