Car had an OTA last week, drove it today for the first time and now it says that the Bluetooth is no longer compatible. Strange because Android Auto uses the cars WiFi. I'm going to check again after the car has been sitting again. Maybe it's a glitch or maybe we have an issue on our hands. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.
Edit: Problem fixed itself the next time I got into the car after turning it off and locking it. I also restarted my phone just to be on the safe side. So if this issue comes up, it's just a car and phone reboot away from a fix.

Same phone and got the same error. I let the car rest for 15 minutes and it worked again when i came back to it. I maybe toggled bluetooth/wifi, but I can't remember since it was last week.

Guys, resetting iDrive should be second nature to you by now. It’s a weekly thing, just hold down the mute button until it restarts, then everything connects again without having to wait until the next time you lock and drive.

I keep an iPhone in the charger for CarPlay and daily carry an S24.. no issue with AA or CP yet but the protocols and systems are being pushed to their limits, so not shocking if it falls over now and again.

It’s poorly built. All car systems are. They should focus on building cars and forget infotainment systems, or make screens optional. End rant lol |

Paired phones (iPhone with iOS 17.4.1 & Samsung S20 FE with Android 13) are now constantly needing to be re-paired. Sometimes works for couple of days, other times one trip. Tried rebooting idrive, but the paired phones don't come up in the list at all. Anyone seeing the same issue? I never had any connectivity issue before this latest update.

Since we're all here.. when Carplay is connected and has been for a while I get shortcuts to CarPlay apps in the iD menu. I don't find that to be true with Android Auto.
I expect I'm unique in that I use both...but worth the ask. |

I've experienced more connectivity issues that I haven't prior to the update, yesterday. Sounds like we're all the BETA testers for the update. Cool!
