If you haven't been able to go for a ride I might see if I can make time to take you for a quick spin. Honestly, I don't have a tight itinerary in mind. The usual - Guerrero's, Waterloo, maybe some BBQ. IDK for sure yet. I'm looking right now in fact.
Well, if you swing by the Austin area, I would love to meet up. I haven't received mine, but should be any day now. But more so to just meet a fellow owner in person and see the car would be cool.

That goes for anyone else nearby as well.

When I sold my S550 PP1 Mustang last summer I was amazed by the number of super low miles Mustangs there were for sale. 5 plus years old with maybe 5k miles in some cases. It sort of made me sad to think of all the enjoyment I had with mine and these guys were maybe only getting $5k more for their car if they were lucky.

My philosophy is simply to try to make the warranty last as long as possible. I'm not enthused about repairs out of pocket. It remains to be seen if any issues come up that make me want to sell once the warranty runs out. I hope not.
As mentioned, I don't have my car yet, but I will not plan on "saving" the miles or anything. I'm daily driving it, and will evaluate how long I want to keep the car as it approaches 100k miles or so...so for me, that's likely a minimum timeframe.

I thought I read somewhere that airplane engines log hours instead of miles, to help determine maintenance schedules, etc. I wonder if you shouldn't worry too much about warranty stuff, since it's still 12k miles/year...it seems you won't be likely to push that, and even if you do, maybe only by a few months at most.

Only have like 700 miles in 3 months. Didn’t get winter tires so have only been driving when it’s above 45, not raining and any salt on the street has washed away.

My 2023 M2 has 6976 miles. Bought it April 14, 2023. No long trips -- not counting the 200 mile drive from the dealer to home. Besides the drive home from the dealer the longest drive was over 120 miles (round trip) up to Joplin area to look at houses. Rest of the miles have been some errand running -- taking the long way to/from where I want to go -- and some plain old pleasure drives.

Some weeks ago CBS flagged a service due by April 2024 or in 4200 miles. Have the car booked in for its CBS service March 19. Won't have anywhere near 10,000 miles by then.

78 miles; collected car in Nov 2023. =[

Not reselling or trying to preserve miles or anything as this is supposed to become my daily; just the holidays leading into a busy year-end into Q1 with full remote work from home meant the only trips I have taken in this car were bringing it home from the dealership in November, and returning it to the dealership for them to PDR a door ding I found from what I assume their dealer prep process.

Oh, and $&*@ weddings. Waste of my weekends when I could be focusing on my hobbies (i.e., cars & motorbikes), I plan to not attend any more weddings of "acquaintances" moving forward in my life. Only close-close friends & family.

I am excited for this Spring, however. Need to show my bikes some love as well, and I need to get out of break-in period ASAP.

At the pace you are at, your break in service will happen in August of 2028. This is assuming you collected your car in mid-November of 2023, and you continue on an average of .7 miles per day. I'm just messing with you (well, technically the math is the math)....hope you can get out and put some more miles on the car.

What's the time & place? Those events usually conflict with my training.
