Lots of patience and a thin trim removal tool. This thread on the G20 site has a PDF, and then there's a video from Bimmertech that helps a little. I think the PDF showing the location of the clips is the most helpful.

I was only charged VAT too. that said IIRC duty should only be 2% of any, I think car parts from US are exempt.

what i did was unlatch all the other tabs and lift it up angled as far as it could go with the top tabs still attached and with a flashlight i could see the parts that catch and used a pick tool to unlatch those. once unlatched they pop right off.

installed the viofo a229 pro dashcam today. took a few hours. routing the rear camera wires was tricky and dealing with fuses for some reason always makes me nervous. anyways, install done. simple but tedious. toughest part was fitting the plastic piece near the fuse box back on and the corresponding floor/door panel.
