Z4 Loud noise after brake using assisted driving
New Z4 sDrive30i has this loud noise every time after the car comes to a complete stop automatically using Adaptive Cruise Control function. Please see video:https://youtube.com/shorts/rACKXCuyG...a7-SMM-fJdS_AF Especially when Auto on/off is OFF, and Auto hold is ON. I took the car to dealership and they ran a test, the repair report says “OBSERVED THAT DSC CONTROL UNIT MOTOR IS ABNORMALLY NOISY WHEN ACTIVATED. PROCEED WITH RELATED TEST PLAN. CHECK LINES AND CONNECTIONS - OK. DETERMINED THAT DSC IS INTERNALLY FAULTY, CAUSING NOISE. REC. REPLACE. DIAGCODE: D3450 DSC000000 90 002. INSTALL BRAKE TENSIONER. DETACH COOLANT RESERVOIRS. REMOVE AND REPLACE HYDRAULIC UNIT.” However, after repair, the noise still exists and dealership called to advise me that there is nothing more they can do to make this noise go away. The technician also said he had ran a similar test on other new Z4s in the store and he found similar noises, so he thinks this is caused by a faulty design in Z4 which makes this noise a “normal” one. The dealership is calling me to pick up the car and call it a day. What should I do? And how can I fix this problem? Thank you so much! 🙏🙏🙏🙏 Last edited by furumer; 11-11-2024 at 06:37 PM.. |
