So no one helped me in my quest for a Sunshade but I found Covercraft and they made me a custom one so I thought I'd share the love.

I did have to modify it a bit because I have a radar detector but otherwise it's fabulous!

Just go to their website enter your real information of your vehicle, pay for it, and wait two weeks for delivery.

It is the best damn sunshade that I've ever owned in 17 cars of ownership.

Covercraft is my go-to for sunshades; I have had them for every car I owned. Although the pricing is kind of expensive, they are great quality. I already bought one for my M240i but it seems to have been lost in shipping... unfortunate.

I called my BMW dealership parts department yesterday hoping they'd have a model-specific sunshade, but nothing yet for the new M240. He then told me they often order shades from Covercraft and suggested I check them out. Got one ordered a few minutes after that and now just waiting. Figured I'd have to modify as well for the R8 and BlendMount.

At $125 with shipping it's a little steep, but these 108 degree days in TX are brutal.

Yep all you need to do is cut it out and take a look at what I did as I ended up using a soft side of Velcro framing where I cut it.

I was very happy that I was able to reuse the one I bought for my F32

Do you have a picture of how you cut it?

Oh, I was thinking it was a cover for the whole car to protect it in sun/rain/snow.. Then I looked closely and see that the Covercraft sits inside the windscreen.

They make full car covers as well.

Was gonna get one of these for my M240. Have a few for my other cars. They are high quality great stuff. But I got the windshield tinted with ceramic tint. At this point I don't need sunshade.

I use Heat Shield sun shades on all my cars for over twenty years. Works perfectly and only $50. Also, they have side and back window shades available too.

I use Covercraft car covers for the whole car. They are excellent products, but they are expensive. I could not justify the Covercraft wind shield sun shade cost when Heatshield is less than half price and works as good or better.
