My local dealership had a m240i allocation, supposedly for week 14 according to genius available at MSRP that I just grabbed after having to cancel my m3 order. I don't see a VIN assigned yet in dev tools under mygarage so it'll probably be delayed a little I guess.

Excited for this car, it will be my first car! How's my build?

portimao blue / red vernasca
shadowline / premium / parking assistance
50 years emblem / harmon kardon / illuminated trim / lumbar support / remote start

I wanted to go with the m perf spoiler but my sales guy told me that it can only be installed if I also get the front splitter which is another ~2k so I declined it, hoping I can get it installed by itself later for cheaper.

I'm set for a week 14 build also. I did similar build with performance option and black interior. No 50 years emblems as I heard they wont be available until June (not sure if that's correct) or illuminated trim (not worth the $200 bucks). Other have done the red interior with blue, just not my cup of tea. I'm more a Batman guy than Superman

Oh the emblem is not available till June? If that's true I'll change my order to the normal ones, I don't think getting those port installed is worth the extra wait ... Can anyone else confirm?

also just curious, are you in 112 still or did you move to 150 with a VIN yet? For me even though genius said week 14 it's probably impossible for me to be week 14 at this point since it's wednesday and on the website I'm still at 112

I was told the week 14 production date starts 4/4. Still at 112. No movement or VIN.

Guys the week assigned doesn't mean much I'm on a week 12 build with a production # and its again pushed. So using this logic a week 14 (next week) will be push for sure. The 50th emblems as per BMW will be for any allocation slated for April build. Meaning if the build week was for April you can add the 50th. I'm also checking to see if I get pushed to April with a March build can we get the emblems.

Who knows, we're all just waiting for the VIN to be assigned. Once we see that in the dev tools we're good to go for production for sure pretty much -- but yeah week 14 completion is definitely not possible at this point most likely

I was also contemplating a blue on red m340i and ultimately decided to get this to save 10k ish but had to keep the same spec, it looks too good

I too decided not to go through with ordering my M3. I got an allocation for an M240 within days of asking and I am also scheduled for week 14 (4-10 April). We'll see what happens next week I guess. Good luck to all who are waiting.

What are dev tools and how do you use them to find your VIN?

ctrl + shift + c on mygarage

You don’t have to use dev tools to see the VIN. Once it updates to production begins (150) they list the VIN.

yeah you don't have to although the VIN usually gets populated a week or so - ish before your car goes into 150, good way to know whether you're going to be delayed again or not

There’s no rules tbh. I was originally week 9 build then kept getting pushed back (10, 11, 12) and week 12 (3/21) I finally flipped to 150 production begins and got a VIN.

Been refreshing the site everyday since and it hasn’t budged lol. Ive read here some people are stuck at my phase for months, others are done in a week.

Called Genius again today to confirm, apparently the previous guy was mistaken, my build is actually for a w14 start date (so week 16 hopefully). This makes more sense, however I am anticipating some delay.
