The M4 starts at $16k more for basically the same car, so it's no doubt that some of that increased cost is for the various interior color options. Re: 2 free colors, most manufacturers now have just 1 or 2 no-cost colors. Even the M4 only has 2 no-cost colors. Jeep only has 1 no-cost color, white.

If you want more interior color choices or free exterior color options, maybe the M2 isn't the car for you.

BMW normally only provides solid colours for no-charge. The São Paulo Yellow will probably be no-charge, making 3 solid colours. The M3/4 only have white and São Paulo Yellow, the M240i only has white for no-charge.

I don't think I would call them the same car but I understand. I just want something other than 3 versions of black is all.

I see, this is my first BMW. I still think basic colors like black and grey should be free, charge for exotic colors.

Someone can confirm, but the M4 & M2 seats look to be the same. If so, buy M4 seat skins and swap them.

if its the manual, they are not very different. Interior is a little different - less ambient lighting, no surround view cameras etc, but its very very very close...

I was waiting for new colors. Not sure I like any of these. Aren't the Grey's pretty similar?

Wait....this car doesn't have a front or 360 camera ? I don't understand how a 30k Honda has extra but its left out on a 63k M car. I think the 240I has 360 / front camera. I don't want less Ambient lighting as I enjoy it personally...those features are important to me.

Damn man

Man, I'll have to think over if I want the car. It seems like they're just taking stuff away and the M2 gets the short end of the stick in the product line.

Moving up a performance / pricing teir and losing features that a cheaper car has is odd to me. Other than the engine....what features are you getting that the 240i doesn't have ?

So G87 has no cooled / ventilated seats , no 360 or front camera, less color options, etc

Black Sapphire Metallic is not Jet Black

BSM is as it’s name states, a Metallic color so it’s not going to be free like a non-metallic color will be

Disappointed to not see voodoo blue on the list, and the loss of cognac interior. I do think the new colors are an upgrade to anything currently on offer though.

Oh lord, Sao Paulo Yellow is going to be something else on this car

Guess us Toronto Red folks are a rare species going forward. Vegas Red looks very very different.
