Removing the cylidner head with engine in car....
I need to replace the head gasket on my engine. The new Elring head gasket I installed on my freshly built engine is junk....leaking cooling externally out of it. Sounds like lots of guys have been having issues with these junk Elring gaskets.....they must have had a defective batch or something.
That being said, I really don't want to pull the motor out again. It was a royal pain in the butt. I'm going to try to pull the head with the engine still in the car. I'm assuming I can pull the turbos off, and just move the manifolds over until they clean the studs coming out of the head....and then just pull the head right off. Anyone ever done this? Any tips or tricks?
