e93 after market android unit retrofit

Hello, first post

My e93 doesn't have idrive, so I'm looking to install this unit which requires cutting a hole in the dash:

I've seen multiple videos/article about this so I'm sure it works and it's just a plug/play thing.

My only question is that the IDrive controller knob that comes with that system seems to only fit the e90, and e92 model, not the e93. This is because the cup holder of the e93 model is smaller to make room for the convertible button. So has anyone else tried to retrofit this?

before you do anything find out what kind of sound system you have?
This does not meant what kind of head unit you have.

use Mdecoder.com to find out .

Depending on if this is a piggy back system or replacement system
you will have trouble if you have Logic 7 = option 677 or 688.
