12/18 - Order Placed
01/05 - Production Begins
01/14 - Entering Assembly Line
01/17 - Assembly in Progress
01/18 - Quality Check

When order was placed, CA told me to expect mid-to-late February delivery.

Update: CA told me on 1/21 that they now estimate my car will arrive at the Port in Baltimore at the end of February and arrive at the Dealership in Mid-March.

Only a week and half? I'm guessing you haven't read through this thread all the way.

My car has been at "Ready for transport" for three and half weeks now. And many others have been out there for that long if not longer. So you may want to lower your expectations right now.

A two month turnaround would be miraculous based on what everyone else is experiencing on this board.

My car spent two weeks at Quality Check, three weeks at final assembly, and another three and half weeks (and counting) at "Ready for transport". So brace yourself for a long wait.

After speaking to the genius today I was told that my vehicle is most likely en route from the plant to the port in Mexico via rail. Keep in mind my vehicle went into "ready for transport" on 12/22 and has remained there almost 4 weeks later. She said that the port of departure for the vehicle is Vera Cruz which according to Wallenius' website says will depart next on 1/24 with arrival to Baltimore 2/6.

I'm "Ready for Transport" since 12/23! Hoping we are on the same boat!!!

I've been told that mine left the plant on 12/23 so I have to imagine it is at the port by now just waiting to be scanned in, which I hear doesn't happen until it actually gets on a boat.

I hope you're right. What's frustrating for me is that I've found 6 boats leaving Veracruz for Galveston this month (5 of which have already left) and my car still hasn't budged from "Ready for Transport" since 12/28.

If my car doesn't make the last ship leaving this month (on Jan 24th), then it looks like I'll have to wait until February 23rd before it ships to Texas.

That would be a real bummer. I guess we should know more come Monday once the ship sets sail.

A conversation I had with my BMW genius was a little more illuminating as to what's going. Apparently the Mexico plant is having backups on cars being transported, with 3-5 week delays where a car is just waiting for a truck to be taken to the port.

My car even though was only listed as ready for transport about a week and a half ago, has been waiting for a ride since Jan 6th. If you're still on the "ready for transport" status, don't worry. Nothings wrong.

My car was listed in Final Assembly status from Dec 3rd to Dec 28th. I'm guessing/hoping my car was waiting to be transported during that three week period.

My car is FINALLY on a boat! It's been in "Ready for Transpot" status since Dec 28th. And it was at that status as of this morning about an hour ago. And then I heard from my CA who said it will arrive in Galveston tomorrow. Now the website is showing me my status is "At the port".

Edit: 2 hours later my status is now officially "In Transit".

And mine is shipping from Altamira...not veracruz.

Here's a link to boat Toscana...for those whose cars are also on this boat.

Thank you all for the update. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm officially in transit! Now RAM is the next hurdle. We are getting closer!

Same here. Was listed as "Ready for Transport" since the end of December and now my order has jumped to "In Transit" as of today. It seems a number of us are "in the same boat" as it were.

My car was listed as awaiting carrier assignment about two hours ago. I called the BMW genius line who stated the car is on the way to the dealership and to call my CA to schedule delivery. I then called my CA and he stated my car is on the ship Grande Mirafiori headed to the port. I just went back and checked BMW’s site and my car is now listed as in transit so who knows where it is. It’ll get there when it gets there
