It's a good package, but not the complete package.

I’m still amazed that Audi doesn’t offer a full leather dash as an option on most of their cars.

Most of the higher models (+ A4/5) do, but I agree. The RS5 at the very least should have it as an option, seeing as though full leather is an option on the G8x. That being said, the standard plastics and other touch points do feel better than the base level competition like the G20.

Porsche will gladly take orders for Macan or Panamera for people who want full leather interior.

Porsche offers it across their entire lineup. I can’t understand why Audi offers it on some cars but not others. Maybe they just hate money and easy profits. It’s such a simple thing that makes a massive difference in the feel of the car.

The RS cars are supposed to be your high end of the lineup. At the very least it should be offered on those.

It needs more power (the engine is great, but slightly underpowered compared to the M3). Handling and fun factor need to be addressed as well. Otherwise it's a fantastic car...many would be surprised how competitive it is as a package compared to the G80 M3.

They depreciate nicely tho. You can find used ones for a decent chunk of change.

Doesn't seem like it? You mentioned this and I got a tiny bit excited but then I checked used 15k and under miles. They're still 105-110k for a 2022, which means they only lost 6-7% per year.

Same as in Canada...they have hardly dropped at all.

That interior leaves something to be desired. I like buttons, but there seem to be too many and things look cluttered.

One of my dream cars is the RS6 Avant. Beautiful car, how are the motor/trans on the RS lineup of Audi cars? As far as reliability is concerned, what compares to the B58 engine?

Transmission is a ZF8 so just as reliable as any other, and the 2.9TT in the RS5 is reliable. Early 2018 models had a few issues, but it's a stout engine as is the 4.0L TT engine in the RS6.

Agree the EA839 2.9TTV6 is reliable. The EA825 4.0TTV8 has some quirks - oil vapor separators and water pump failures to name two. These have been reported several times on RL although not terribly widespread.

The V8 is considerably more complex than the V6, beyond simply having two more cylinders. The V8 has 2 HPFPs and 2 oil vapor separators compared to 1 of each for the V6.

The V6 has iron cylinder liners compared with the V8 with coated cylinders which many manufacturers have had problems with over the years (scoring).

I like the look of these cars(coupe and sport back) and from what I've seen they make nice dailies. But I just don't seem them being 90-95k cars.
