I've seen 2 so far and just shake my head when I do.

I'm guessing the only folks buying these will be leasers that need something to tide them over until we swing out of this current design trend.

Shame if the grill even remotely looks like the leaked image. Feel really bad for the folks that waited for the G87 and S58 b/c it looks like this one too is getting a wack by BMW ugly stick.

Thankfully, I live by the quote from a friend, "see it, like it, buy it".

I wouldn't dispute this, but I would still point out it is very relative. The new and used car markets are both generally insane because of the chip shortage and resulting lack of general inventory and production volume.

That being said, go try to buy a GT3 with only $10k markup. I was willing to go $20k and got laughed out of the dealership. Called from Cali to Florida and told I would either have to spend way more money or I wouldn't see one *for the entire production cycle* without some sort of VIP status.

On the other end of the spectrum two coworkers of mine were just quoted ~6 months on a Kia Telluride locally.
It's only a matter of time before this cycle ends, as inflation is rocketing up— if the fed raises interests to cool down the housing market, then game over for the ridiculous over MRSP markups. Miami/SoBe, NYC/Gold Coast, Silicone Valley, Austin, and Seattle are areas that are insulated and can always demand top 💰

The federal entitlement hand outs end in September, hopefully, the market cools down. I for one have paying for hundreds of these entitlement hand outs:
Well said and I agree completely.

What I'm not loving this particular leak, it could end up looking a bit like a retro squared off E30/E36. Still need to wait and see.
In my area all the M3/M4's are sold out an all allocations for months ahead are sold out. It is very hard to get your hands on one here.

I'm referring to the M cars. This is an M2. Totally different consumer...

Maybe I'm in the minority but I think this could turn out to be a pretty good design.

After how amazing the G80 turned out, I will wait until it is revealed/fully rendered to make any determination. It's like checking out a low res pic of chick's forearm and trying to make a determination as to whether you wanna do her.

The few dealers around me in VA have a total of 9 g80 m3/m4's sitting on their lots. More are sitting up in MD dealer lots as well.

This car will have proportional kidneys and classic BMW styling. My impression is a mix of modern and retro. In addition, a lot of issues that I have with the G82 won't be present on this car. I think it's going to look great. Plus- 6MT, 450 HP, CF roof, adaptive suspension, etc. Undoubtedly, it's going to outperform the F87 CS. I can't wait to order one.

G42 front bumper - triangles! This bumper which they haven't seen on the car- boring ! I remember when people hated the F87's front bumper. I imagine some of them are driving M2s..

I just ordered a 22 M3 in Richmond and there were no M3 cars on either lot and have not for the last two months.

I think it's going to flow really nice in person with the box flares and squared off power dome, angular mirrors, etc. Just the slats bug me but yeah, we should be optimistic here. And crucially no beaver teeth.

That's not appealing to me. With the G80, X3M LCI and this I'm not a fan of the new direction.

Not a fan of the styling. I am glad I pulled the trigger on my '21 M2C last year.

Both BMW of Sterling and Alexandria each have 5 on their website right now. Sterling had them on the lot as of a few weeks ago the last time I was there.

Progress ain't for everyone. Try a safer brand like Buick, sounds like it's more your vibe.
Let me guess, you bought the KITH edition

Going off topic, I just searched on Cars.com, there are 60 new M3 (G80) and 52 new M4 (G82).

There are 244 4 series (coupes and convertibles) new available. 2,693 3 series available.

56 new M8's (across all styles).

People are making appear that the car market is imploding and going into the stone ages. Remember, BMW needs to move metal, and the M's are the higher profit vehicles. If the waiting list is that long for months, people will move into something else, as this is not an exotic car and mass manufactured off of the 2 series/3 series/4 series platform.

I called my dealer just for fun and he had an August build ready the new M3 but I suppose that depends where you live geographically where people MUST have the newest toy, I could see the wait being longer.

Miami, nyc, etc wherever the majority of the people that care about the car they drive to show off. Getting an allocation in Colorado wasnt hard
