Video of M240i with M Performance Parts (October 2021)

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I think we have seen quite a few photos and a stock still BMW videos of the G42 2er M240i with M Performance Parts but here is a new video where the chap actually has the 2er with M Performance Parts with him, adding a different perspective.

Less is more…some of that needs to be removed. Takes away from the design. Obviously looks are subjective…I'm just sayin.

Tacky much?! Most of these accessories are something I'd expect from a kid in high school modding their Honda Civic.

I'm sure BMW makes a huge margin on any of these options which makes me understand why they do it but for me as a BMW owner it make me sad for the direction BMW continues to head towards.

Looks try hard.

Imagine pouring extra money into a depreciating asset to try and impress strangers.

Probably cheaper to just buy a G87 m2 instead of adding all these extra M badges to a g42 lol

In fairness, I think most do it for themselves rather than others.

I know I'm going to get a lot of hate for saying this but adding carbon fiber on everything doesn't necessarily make it better. Takes away from it being something special in the first place. Outside is a little too fussy, but the interior is very nicely done.

The trunk spoiler is nice. And by nice I mean getting one off of eBay for 25% the price BMW charges for theirs.

Most people do not usually take them all. This is just a catalogue of what you can do. I think the proper additions are the lip, spoiler, and side sill thingys..

Instead of some of these awful cosmetic parts I wish BMW would offer parts that would actually enhance performance such as for suspension, exhaust etc.

real BMW designs , like e46 coupe or m6gc or i8 didn't need "attachments " and "blings" to look nice.
Just saying.

You could say that about any BMW.

Why buy an M3 when a 330i will get you from A to B?

Not at all. The M3 is a completely different car top to bottom. Well worth the extra cost.

This stuff is tacked on bs.

Performance enhancements ie parts that will optimise the cars performance, think MP HAS spring kit, MPPSK etc.

You can never have enough stickers…. at least that's what BMW designers seem to think. Way to make it look cheaper than it already does.
