A fully loaded m240 comes in higher than the outgoing fully loaded m2c. The g87 gonna be a pricey car

Hmm. I get about $57k for all packages 240. F87 comp was 62+?

Close for sure, but unless I suck at math it's not more.

I got just about 59k from the website configuration tool. So I guess we're both a bit off

Great car with great performance numbers but the price numbers are really up there now for a M240i. Numbers are used M3 numbers

For sure. Means the G87 is probably 70ish

Which is a lot of coin.

By mid of next year or last half of next year the chip production will catch up and once they catch up I expect used car prices to drop significantly. 3rd to 4th quarter of 2022 is when things will start to turn south.

Loaded M240i xDrive is ~$59k
Loaded M340i xDrive is ~$67k
Typical M3/M4 xDrive is $85-90k

The G generation cars cost more and they are enormous improvements over F gen. In other news, everything costs more in 2021.

I no longer look at G42 as a downgrade car compared to G20. It's just smaller with different style but otherwise the guts and amenities are not really different.

If you call this expensive, I don’t know what you expect. A loaded Honda Civic Type R is $45K.

It will be close to $75K for sure when fully loaded, then add tax and other stuff and will end up $80K.
Which means, CS will be a $100K car.

That's before dealers get a hold of them and add some ridiculous market adjustment lol

I'm not sure where people are getting the money to pay for cars these days. This coming from a bonafide car nut making a high income. I'm starting to sound like the old guy complaining about the cost of milk or a cup of coffee...

Spec the car to what you want to pay not everything has to be fully loaded. I hope BMW gives us the option to spec out an M2 this time with some more options like carbon roof and carbon bucket seats, etc, to be what we want even if it goes over the price of an M3 and not worry about the lineup and where the price has to be.

I'd still pick the M2C or CS over the bloated G80. The new M2 is going to look stunning.

Idk where you guys are getting these numbers. The MSRP on my M2C as built was $60k and I paid $57k. One of the main perks of the M2C for me was "there isn't a better car under $60k!"

I have DCT and if you add delivery fees etc. it comes close to $64K. In San Diego when I got the car there was hardly anyone selling at MSRP. Most had mark ups up-to $20K.

I got mine at MSRP after waiting for an year on a guest list.

Geez. Should've shopped out of state. There were plenty of dealers with open allocations.

At that time, was hard plus I had a new born to take care of. I honestly didn't care for a few grand here and there vs. the headache to go out of state.
