In Canada there is no traffic jam assist. Now only for higher models. even removed from 2022 3/4 series. Only stop & go cruise option now.

Do you know what options add the sensor thing in the middle of the bottom grill? I believe it's just the Active Cruise Control. Are there and other options that require it?

I know it's very minor, but I find it unsightly.

I would think the sensor is also for Front Collision warning

that should only be for the radar sensor on stop & go cruise. Although every 2 series GC has it even if the car doesnt have active stop and go

front collision warning and lane keep assist are done via the camera about your rear view mirror

Steering support takes place without the driver actively steering

Blasphemy! So much for the 2 being a purest driver's car that BMW makes today yet the folks clamoring for one are asking for things that detract from the act of driving.

I think the size, weight, and back seats are more of an issue than a few lines of code.

Is the back seat space less than the F Gen?

Apologies for being less than clear, and contributing to taking the thread off topic. Back seat room in the G42 is slightly improved I believe.

My perspective was that if one was looking for characteristics of a car that detract from it being a "pure drivers car", then size, weight, and the mere existence of back seats would be more at issue than a minor electronic feature that can simply be toggled off if you do not like it.

the traffic jam and stop & go cruise are the best when you are in such shit traffic that you don't get to "drive"
