...This G42 is a beautiful car, I just ordered a 2021 M240i with a manual as I was so so SO hoping this 2022 would be a manual sub-(true)M.

Maybe one day ill give up the manual but for now....
I don't blame you! My 2015 M235i was manual.

Would be curious to read the review of your own experiences in your new car soon!
I agree with everything you said! I will definitely be making move videos once i get my own M240i!

Otherwise great overview. There is so much M in this thing which I am glad for. It means the new M2 should have the room to be even more hardcore, which most people probably won't need. Just heartbreaking there is no manual here or I'd probably be ordering one up.

It's a very good looking BMW. This M240 package on this clean 2 series makes this car a appearance winner.

Looks great, and I can't wait to see the final M2 version. How does the car appear in terms of size in person? Can you perceive that it is larger compared to the outgoing 2-series/M2? That is one of my main concerns, as I prefer smaller cars.

Did you go into settings to make sure the interior trim lighting was at it's brightest level?

Those m colors on the inside of the door are awful. Look like something you'd find in a 20 year old base 3 series after a high school kid gets a hold of it

Propositions look good. Excited for the g87

I did! There was nothing in the settings for them! I had ambient lighting on max brightness and still sucks. Hopefully just a pre-production issue

Since you have the F87 at the dealership also could you snap a picture side by side with the G chassis? I’m curious as to how much lower the roof line is and how much wider the new model is. Thanks!

thanks for doing this video it was awesome and really helpful! curious to know your thoughts on the leather and how it compares to the leather in the previous 2 series? I'm hoping it's a bit softer and smoother, but I'm not holding my breath! thanks!

Thanks for watching!

It is about the same. not a huge difference from Dakota Leather to Vernasca leather. Mainly just the different style seats.

Maybe i am not the best to answer this question as i don't notice the difference from leatherette to leather. I only ordered Sensatec for my M240i build.

thanks for the thoughts! I got sensatec on my 2019 m240i because just like you I thought that it looked about felt about the same as the leather so didn't want to pay extra for leather. however I decided to take a chance and order leather on the new m240i hoping it might be slightly softer than what was offered in the last generation car, but sounds like that might not be the case.

And in countries like Australia the ADR rule was introduced more recently.
My OG M2 did not have this nor the initial Comp, but my new M2 Comp April build and September delivery has extensions over the guards to meet the new regulations.

Vernasca is a tad softer, smaller grain than Dakota. But isn’t far removed.

Still a garbage quality leather, but it is durable.

I must say after Denver's great Video I am extra glad I placed order for new 230i w/M Sports Pkg... and will look damn close to the M240i

Vehicle looked real sharp plus modern & bolder looking than my recently sold 2018 230i
