Satellite radio sounds extremely clear and crisp in every BMW that's been made in the last 10+ years...

Anyone have any updates on the HUD availability? That's a bid deal for me and plan on submitting an order soon, just wondering if I should wait a bit more yet lol

While SiriusXM is a non-negotiable must-have option for me; I do agree with the above comment. The EQ they apply makes music listening painful to me. However, I love the sports and news programming.

As of right now my builder shows premium package (with HUD) is still available.

Yep. That's coming from the "Track My BMW" page.

I haven't seen any 2022MY cars without satellite radio come through our dealer, so I just assumed they all have it. Hopefully it stays that way for everyone.

This just started to cars currently in production. Check your pipeline. They're in there.

I noticed the build tool has Sirius XM and HD delete added to the options list in the summary. I think I am going to hold off a bit. 350 seems like a small discount for those 2 removals.

On my build sheet it has the word "blocked" listed here instead of a monetary amount. anybody know what that's about?

I’m about to put my order in and noticed the same. HD radio is the only delete I’m annoyed by but it’s not a showstopper for me. No XM radio is almost a bonus…

If the HD radio option is removed, these cars still come with the normal analog radio function as standard, correct?

Yes, the car will have a standard radio just not HD radio (or XM)

That article states that they will KEEP the HUD in the M240i's so that's nice!

The sound quality on SiriusXM is so bad that I switched to playing music from my Iphone (Spotify/Tidal HiFi) 4-5 years ago and never looked back. Does kind of suck for people that listen to shows/podcasts like Howard Stern.

Spotify is only a step up though.
Considered the worst in sound quality of the major services.
Spotify Premium limited to 320 kbit/s (Vorbis)
Spotify HiFi is not yet released.

I believe their satellite-delivered audio is 64 kbps AAC which is not amazing. Although it works with no cell service which can be really handy sometimes. But otherwise you get better audio quality using their carplay app.

Yep, I use Tidal HiFi. Didnt think most had heard of it so Spotify seems to be an all encompassing term like us southerners call all soda "Coke."
