Sounds like you've made up your mind. But I'll throw in one more vote for BG / red. I'm biased though as that's the combo of my order. I hope it's the same shade of red as my current 18' 340i, Not super bright and not maroon-ish.

I prefer the Brooklyn Gray. It's more mature and classy IMO.

Thanks for all of the insights y'all! After seeing some additional pics of the colors in different lighting, although I respect the Brooklyn Gray, my choice is Portimao Blue over Black w/blue contrast stitching. Now to decide on the brake caliper colors! 🤣😂

great choice as that is exactly what I'm getting! as for the brake calipers I decided to go red for a bit of a contrast and because I think they stand out more.

I would go with gold brake caliper. It blends with blue well!

Is a gold caliper an option from BMW? I thought it was just blue or red.

yeah I think it's only blue or red and red was added just recently as an option.

I cannot wait for the day they get rid of this color. Really hope the next blue hits the mark.

Not sure if this video has already been posted on the forum, but still a good comparison of the two

I prefer the Midnight Metallic first, then Portimao Blue second. Alpine White is pretty sharp on this too. Purple and Blue all day long for me. I ordered the Purple one since it looks sick!

Definitely more on the maroon side. Not the coral red on the m8

PM'd.

Another thing of note, make sure you go and see tacora red in person. The online configurator does a poor job of showing the actual shade of red. It's way more of a bordeaux wine than a vibrant red.

I'm sure it's going to look great, but I'm a little bummed to hear that the tacora Red is maroon. I have the Coral Red in my current car and really like it, it "pops".

I currently have the Dakota leather, how does it compare to the Vernasca, is it basically the same? The Dakota isn't very soft, but its been very durable and still looks new after 3 years.

Definitely softer. Looks better too.

And yeah, the tacora is still plenty nice...just much more subdued compared to the other reds in the lineup.
