Not likely unless they go back to solvent based paints. It's the reality of water based paints and all automakers have the issue.

# 1 Sadly they (BMW) could careless about those clients and # 2 China is now their number one market so their U.S. market is of little importance/concern.

Exactly! It would be so easy to give us a “classic mode” or something of the like. It’s just perplexing why the digital gauges in the G8x are so terrible.

For anyone who has / had digital gauges, how are they at night? I've had them on loaners but realize I only drive them during the day.

Are they subtle or do they sort of... glow? Where black isn't really black but more like dark gray, and / or you have to really have the brightness of them down so you can actually not get distracted (I suppose that's done automatically).

Bright! I typically need to adjust the brightness to avoid eye strain.

Even if they bring it back, I wouldn't count on euro delivery for the M2. That means your car would have to be moved from Mexico, to Germany, then the US. I guess it's technically possible, but seems unlikely.

I have not heard anything to-date and I am not disagreeing with you. I would be surprised to see it return as most U.S. BMW Centers were not sad to see the program go.

Of course, it wasn’t making any money for them. But if BMW charged let’s say $3k for it and gave the centers half, they would become more interested. Just saying, not sure this is what’s happening but could be a possibility.

The hassle of doing a European delivery is why the majority of U.S. CA’s dislike the program. It can be fairly time consuming especially with what is received on the backend (commission).

Anyone have an idea of what the price hike will be from the M-lite to the M? M340 starts at $67,504 and M3 starts at $86,600 (Cad). Can we expect a similar jump?
