So many issues. X3 2008 3.0d M57 Hopefully nothing too fatal

Hi All
New member.
Just got a 2008 x3 3.0d M57. M spec
Lovely machine. Needs some TLC
Ran diagnostics:
- need new glow plugs.
- plugs should solve DDE warning light and ensure DPF regeneration.
- EWS issue?
- - have 2 keys. 1 can open car but not start. 1 can start car but not open.

I like my cars and this x3 needs to be a daily drive but also my hobby.
I want to work on it and improve it, ensure it’s in top condition.

Can those in the know share their wisdom and tell me the secrets to keeping this unsung hero on the road.

Thanks in advance

Hi Gary
Welcome to the group
Just to let you know you have posted to the 3 series BMW forum.
Most of the people here are familiar with the E90, E91 and E92 BMWs
Not so much the X3

Here is the link to the X3 forum

https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/index.php

You will probably have more success getting the information you need from someone in there

Good luck

There is also this site.

I have one but it's a N52 3.0Si petrol powered. Don't think NA got a Diesel power till the F25 series came along.

But the guys on the UK section here are more familiar with diesel power cars you could probably ask to have this moved there by a moderator.
