6hp26 transmission problems

Ok so the other day I felt my transmission slip and the transmission fail light came on. After restarting the car it worked fine. This kept happening only when the tranny was warm. So I pulled a code that was 004f85 clutch E mismatch. After doing some research I realized I likely have a serious tranny issue. But I though I'd go an check the fluid level just incase it was low. This is where my second problem began...

I leveled the car on jack stands. I used the running boards between the jack pads as my level. Please let me know if that is correct or not. But then I let the tranny cool after driving to about 35C and removed the fill port. I lost about 2-3L of oil. I couldn't really measure it as I wasn't ready for that much fluid and didn't have my pan ready. So now I'm left wondering why so much came out of the fill port to begin with?. I was hoping nothing would come out and that I'd have to add some. So I'm just curious if I missed a step. I don't believe the tranny was over serviced by that much. I tried, only for about 2 seconds, to put the car in drive after draining, and wheels won't turn.

A little back story. I had just had the car tuned with all deletes and carbon cleaned intake and valves. I tested the power a half dozen times or so but generally I was babying the car trying to best millage. 5.6L/100km btw. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I'd like to get the tranny refilled so at least I can drive it to a shop.
