Dealer replaces HPFP for free!
Hi, guys,
my car is at the dealer's service now. It was time to change oil, make inspection, etc. A guy from dealer service called today, we were speaking about upgrading DME software, he asked if it was ok to flash DME with Procede installed. And he mentioned that they are waiting for one part to arrive. I was surprised as no parts needed to be replaced and asked what part he was talking about. He told it was HPFP. I was like "wtf, it doesn't need to be replaced". He said it was a special manufacturer's act at no charge. My car is 01.2007, 42k kilometres. Is it usual for dealer to do so?

If it was never done during the initial recall, its still an action that they want to get that pump out of the car. Its normal if its a recalled item. We sometimes get cars in from years ago that had a recall and have to tell the owner, Surprise were replacing these parts for free!

Well, so are you. Do you have anything valuable to say?
Never heard of HPFP issues in EU and recalls related with it. I only heard of HPFP issues in the US because of the crappy fuel. That is why I was asking.
