M3(sedan) always had the coupe headlights. They didn't ever make bespoke headlights for the M3.
Yes but as I JUST said, the M3 has different headlights than the 3 series 😂 so it is in fact possible.
Look, it doesn't even matter, it is what it is. You're not even going to buy one so what's the big deal? I'm not here to argue. Stop being an "I told you so" on here, no one likes those.

Don't beat yourself over this minor fact, the message probably got conflated because even the admin here claimed that the G87 would of at least have a new laser light option, so there was a 50/50 chance it could of been possible..

BTW, I was just busting your balls, no beef either way, it was all in stride.. 😉

I am not even sure if there is a non-Comp. Who knows?

Reveal can't be too far away.

Agreed. Hopefully sooner now that this thread is on the front page. BMW can't hide it much longer 😂

They will continue to have leaks leading up to the officially announced reveal, and even hours before the official reveal the entire car will leak. But don't take my word for it, Google and you'll see this is their MO to keep peak interest in their products. They're pretty good at stringing everyone along for months and months. Those bastids.

Project_F87, I forgot to ask if you noticed if the wheels arches have what BMW calls spats on them? Those are the add on body colored crescent pieces that they put on the M240i since it's wider than the base model. I suspect and hope it doesn't, but had to ask.

I didn't see those in the pics, will confirm on that topic also. Good question

You are probably right.SCOTT26 posted a little bit of info today in the future model thread.I wonder if the orange red color he is referring to is Toronto Red because ynguldyn mentioned that Toronto Red would be one of the colors for the G87.He does say it is new color,so maybe it is a different red.

Remember That bumper which we have all become accustomed to.
It Appears to be far more impressive now that intake details are finally shown and not just a huge space. The car appears to be showing more "angular" details at the front and rear. Apparently the squared headlights make it all work.

It blends in with typical 2 dr outline and the arch blisters that are more pronounced than the standard 2.
You can actually see this in angled spy photographs (Look at the car coming towards you)

There are two new colours that pay Hommage to the 2002 Hommage Concepts. Zandvoort Blue and another Orange-Red colour which I did not get the name of. I don't know if they are showing it with the "finished" Touring and something frozen in Brooklyn Grey? Or a new stand alone flavour of "Extra-Boost Energie" drink mixed with a label of Scottish Whiskey?

Should be similar to this then if it’s like one of the two hommage colors.

This looks a bit wonky, I'd assume not all colors make it to the G87 M2

Glacier Silver would be odd, Hockenheim and LBB are F87 colors, Alpine White (F04) is very random, Mineral Gray also very F-chassis, Misano I could see instead of Portimao, and then there's Sunset which isn't offered on the regular 2er. Estoril has been succeeded by Portimao so that's really odd too, esp since it wasn't offered in the F87 either

Colors that will make it on the G87 I'd guess:
- Alpine White 3 (300)
- Black Sapphire (475)
- M Brooklyn Gray (C4P)
- M Zandvoort Blau (C6E)
- M Toronto Red (C3G)
- M Isle of Man Green (idk code, but based off the photos by BMW Mexico the other day)

And I think this might be it, since they released almost all the existing colors with the G8x M3/M4, the SPY of the M2 will be Zandvoort, and Skyscraper is probably deemed too "grown up" for the M2

Not to mention the very limited color options on the previous M2 and M2C, I think that is a solid list. Would love to see Thundernight because I love purple though!

I guess no one is interested in the interior? Does it has the curved screen with idrive 8 like the latest i4?

OP only has seen pics of the front and side profiles of the car. We're hoping for more info this week.

Yes iD8 was established a long time ago.

As far as interior, all we know is CF buckets will be an option.

I dunno, I’m only banking AW and Zandwoort for now. The rest seems like highly unreliable guesses. I agree that the color palette screenshot seems way off. Too many colors and too outdated.

BSM is about as safe as AW.

ynguldyn also mentioned Brooklyn Gray and Toronto Red.

That light blue looks nice, but the M2 front bumper is shaping up to be fugly. The G42's honestly looks much sharper thus far. Guess we will have to wait until the official release to judge though.
